| weitere Informationen/more info | The eagle eyed of you will note we have indeed previously sold this car in he past. It’s great to have her back in our showroom, and on the market again. She is a competent and handsome Riley special built on a 9 chassis utilizing the 9 running gear, however with the much more desirable and powerful 1500cc 12/4 engine! The lightweight body and running gear with 12/4 engine could make this is quite a formidable trails car in the right hands. She has great ground clearance along with superb power to weight ratio. The knocks on rear wheels make for quick and easy wheel changes, a four speed manual gearbox has been utilized and is much lighter than a Pre-select usually found bolted to the back of a 12/4 engine! Although the car was conceived and developed primarily as a very competent trials car, it is also proved itself as a very accomplished road car and has done several long distance journeys including a trip to Le Mans Classic. Also has been seen at the local watering hole during the Summer/Autumn months. The current owner has spent considerably on the car in the last 12 months with a wellrespected vintage motoring Engineer/restoration Company. These works have been done to aid performance and reliability, as we all know are extremely important when it comes to vintage car ownership and driving pleasure no one wants to be broken down. This work has included: full rewire, replaced gearbox selectors, brakes (relined shoes), new wheel bearings, overhaul of steering box, overhauled SU Carburetor and lastly new tonneau, she is on the button and ready for her new owner, she has VSCC buff form in previous owners name...
