Now deceased Jack Cousins modified 1935 Kestrel steel chassis, shortened by 10", engine moved back in the chassis and aluminium rebodied in 1960's / early 1970's. See photo at Collingrove Hillclimb, car number 41 circa 1970. Recently rebuilt 1.5 litre post war twin cam cross flow Riley motor, standard gearbox and differential. Have a 1930's block - but parts needed to complete - help please! Single large SU carburettor, direct crank-driven Roots supercharger, race cams. Confederation of Australian Motor Sport (CAMS) log book records since 1972. Historic registered last 8 years, currently fully road registered. Circa 2013 all alloy partial rebody by Marque Restorations specialists." |
